On October 13, the final whistle echoed across the venue, marking the successful conclusion of the Chizhou leg of the 2026 2nd "Huashan Sword Debate" Fishing Tournament for Woding Fans, held alongside the 1st Anhui Quanshui Lake Reservoir Fishing Challenge. A total of 300 teams—comprising 600 anglers—gathered at Anhui’s Quanshui Lake to compete in this exclusive event designed specifically for Woding fans. Amidst the gentle ripples of the water, participants forged friendships through their rods and vied for top honors, delivering a fishing extravaganza that was as professional as it was entertaining.
Registration Day: 300 Teams Gather
On October 11, all 300 participating teams arrived at the shores of Quanshui Lake to complete their pre-tournament registration. Woding provided a thoughtful commemorative gift pack for every angler, featuring a 7.2-meter "King’s Excalibur" (Generation IV) lightweight big-game fishing rod, a Woding sun-protection shirt, and a Woding fishing cap.

Following registration, the tournament rules were explained in detail, and the draw for the competition zones for the first day was conducted. Nearly 600 contestants witnessed the grand opening ceremony of the 2026 2nd "Huashan Sword Debate" Fishing Tournament for Woding Fans and the 1st Anhui Quanshui Lake Reservoir Fishing Challenge.

Competition Days: Zonal Contests
The tournament officially commenced on October 12 and ran through October 13. Over the course of two days and four separate point-based rounds, the 300 teams were divided into 12 competition zones. Each round lasted 150 minutes, with total catch weight tallied using a reverse-point scoring system. Notably, every team participating in this event used fishing rods from the Woding brand. On the morning of the first day, figures were scattered across the floating platforms; the rhythmic casting and retrieving of rods rippled the tranquil surface of the spring-fed lake—a body of water reaching depths of nearly five meters. Competing in pairs, the anglers faced off against one another. Shortly after the start, the first fish was hooked, bending the rod into a deep, graceful arc. Cheers erupted from both the shore and the floating platforms, as the distinct fighting styles of various fish species put each angler’s control techniques and split-second decision-making to the test.

On the second day, teams rotated to new zones, intensifying the battle for the top spots on the leaderboard. Reflecting on the previous day’s standings, some teams adjusted their strategies—some opting to play it safe and protect their existing points, while others chose to go all-in. Across the lake, the sounds of casting, the whistling of fishing lines under tension, and the splashing of landing nets hitting the water created a symphony of competition.

A highlight of the second day came from Wenwen (representing the Woding team), who—using a "Woding Wujie: Gongji" (Woding Boundless: Attack) rod designed for silver and bighead carp, paired with a 1.0-gauge leader—hooked a massive black carp weighing 14.9 kg. Throughout a grueling 40-minute tug-of-war, Wenwen embodied the unyielding spirit of an angler; she remained composed while managing the fish, and with the exceptional performance of her rod, she successfully landed the giant. She has truly earned the nickname "Black Carp Wenwen."

Following the intense rounds of competition, all four sessions across the two days concluded. The judging panel tallied the total weight scores and individual catch records for each team. Ultimately, the final rankings for the "Grandmaster’s Total Weight Championship" were determined based on a reverse-point scoring system, and the winners of the "Master of the Waters" award—recognizing the heaviest individual catch—were also announced.

Closing Ceremony: Coronation and Flag Presentation for the "Martial Arts Alliance Leader"
The "Woding-Yan Hongliang" team emerged as the champions of the Total Weight Competition. The "Woding Champion Wen" team secured second place with a 14.9 kg catch—narrowly edging out the "Sanyu" (Three Fish) team—and received a 5,000 RMB cash prize along with the same cane-umbrella. The "Sanyu" team took third place with a 14.3 kg catch, receiving a 3,000 RMB cash prize and the same cane-umbrella. The awards were presented by Liu Huaibin, Vice General Manager of Woding.

Finally, the teams that placed 4th through 10th in the "Single-Catch Weight" competition took the stage to receive their prizes—a Woding 6th-generation walking-stick umbrella (valued at 249 RMB) and a cash prize of 1,000 RMB.
